450 4.4.0 DNS query failed on inter-site connectivity

Hi all

I've had a 2007 Server running as a single site entity for about 9 months now and it's ran fine.  However another site has now had a server installed too, it has created the inter-site links according to everything I see, but it seems they cannot send their email to each other.

The queue shows 17 messages sitting there with the DNS query failed messages, with 1 message giving 400 4.4.7 Message Delayed.

I have set up no edge connectors as far as I'm aware.

ASKER

(Just to add, the original server is on AD sitename.local with "Default-First-Site-Name", the new server is on AD child abc.sitename.local with "abcdefg" for Exchange - obviously not the real names but idea is there)
(Also to mention, yes, they can ping each other on server names, FQDN names, and AD zone names)
OK solved it

Exchange Management Console => Server Configuration => ServerName => Properties => Internal DNS Lookups

The server network card had changed to a HP Virtual Team after setup and this had to be manually set in this.

Thanks to those that looked, all seems solved now.
