Last Modified: 2012-05-05
I am running Windows Server 2003 SBS SP1.  I have 5 XP/Pro workstation with 5 users.  I would like a step by step procedure to setup Roaming Profile in Active Directory so that users can access their profile from any XP/Pro workstations with their login Credentials.

Before doing that... you should know that by default, in an SBS environment, Users can log into any workstation and they can access both Outlook and My Documents without the need for roaming profiles.

In order for this to work properly, you needed to have joined the workstations using the SBS method of http://<servername>/connectcomputer and have run the Folder Redirection Wizard.

If you didn't join the workstations in this manner you need to rejoin them following the steps I've outlined here:

The Folder Redirection Wizard is found in the Users snap-in of the Server Management Console.
