I was asked by a coworker to create an application that does the following:

Have a userform that allows the user to select a folder. Once the user selects the folder, the windows app opens the pdf documents within that folder, searches for a specific phrase "Undistributed Net Investment Income", prints that page, and then closes it. (It does this for all pdf documents within the folder).

I have no idea where to start. I am using visual studio 2008 and using c#. Any ideas would be appreciated. Thanks.

Your best bet would be to purchase a 3rd party API that can perform the functions for you. We use Aspose (www.aspose.com). There are good points and bad points to Aspose, but for something this simple, it is easy to implement and will save you a ton of time. I know they print, but I'm not positive on the search capabilities. I'll check and get back to you.
