If I create a form or profile for admins to customize a generic email msg. with richtext, what is the formula to lookup the email body from that form and send mail.

More Details:  I need to send a group people an email (maybe a newsletter) to attend EventA.
That email(newsletter) is relevant to EventA.
I need to also have a different email newsletter to a group of people to attend EventB.
EventB will be different from EventA's email.
The Notes Help isn't detailed enough in how to set up this type of email notification.  Please be very detailed in your explanation.  Thanks in advance.

You will have trouble doing this with formula. Possibly the only way to do this using formula is to have the data for the message stored as:

rtField1 Blah blah blha blah invited to
rtField2 the stemagrakomon event on Tuesday
rtField3 and we hop eto see you there. Please blah blah blah

textField4 List of addresses, etc.

Now, you can run a formula that does @MailSend on this DOCUMENT, once for each recipient in textField4. The format of the @MailSend itself will be:

@MailSend(nameOfRecipient; ""; ""; "Subject"; ""; "rtField1" : "rtField2" : "rtField3")

The rtField value have to be in quotes, because you are actually telling @MailSend the NAMES of the RT fields to include in the message, in order.

The next problem is how to grab single values out of textField4 so you can send the message. If you are not concerned about individualization, you COULD just @MailSend(textField4;....) and that's the end of it.  Otherwise, you need either @Transform, or one of the looping constructs (@For, etc.)

(But personally,  i would do it with script instead, probably using renderToRTItem.)

I would do this using either a special mail db that has specific forms alreday defined, and then you can simply use Createdoc , and Edit, since this gives good flexability.

It depends on how much of the test is contstant, and how much needs changing.

Other options are to simply use Notes Stationary.

I hope this helps !

ok, see your point.  How do I do this in Script - call the customized form with customized sendto, body, subject, etc.
Scenario:  Mgr. approves request by clicking on an approval action button in the request form. The action button can then call an agent to send email - agent would grab the current request doclink and request ID for the email notification,  and then call the customized form email body, cc, subject to add to the same email.

Do I have to set up a True Profile Document or just a regular form?
