I was asked this in an interview, How can you trace a oracle session which is live, means user currently logged in.

Thanks

what do you mean trace ?
you can turn auditing to extended (audit_trail)
then you can access any of the follwing:

    * SYS.AUD$ - This is the raw audit trail
    * dba_audit_trail - This is a DBA view showing the raw audit trail, if audit_trail is set to extended, you can see the queries user runs
    * dba_audit_session - This view shows just log-on and log-off actions.

of course first you have to turn on auditing for specific user or specific privilege
