Why do I have to turn off my computer twice before it turns off?
I have Dell Vostro 1500, on Windows XP. I have to press Turn Off twice before the unit is turned off. How to fix this problem please?

When you say "Turn Off", what are you talking about? The Turn Off button in the menu you get from Start->Turn off computer?

If you happen to be interested in learning what is running on your computer, open up the processes (Ctrl + Alt + Del) and googling every one. Usually you'll get a decent answer to what each process is, whether it's necessary and how to remove it if its bad or useless. It's a little bit of work, but you can learn a lot that way.
