Windows 2003 domain name length
Is there a maximum length for a Windows 2003 domain name. Would using something like CherrydaleVeterinaryHospit al.local result in some anomalous behavior down the road?
When I look at Entire Network in Explorer I see just Cherrydale.

Since this is a Small Business Server, i.e. including Exchange running on a domain controller, I guess renaming is out of the question. Awarding points and closing out. Thanks for the wealth of info. It will be immensely useful to everyone with similar questions.
