Event ID 1005 MSEXchangeSA after initial setup Exchange server 2007

Hi,

I tried to setup Exchange 2007 on a new system, but with allready an Exchange 2003 server in the same domain.  The setup of the Mailbox role failed because of the MSExchangeSA service that doesn't start.

Got the following errors:
Unexpected error The server is not operational. Facility: Win32 ID no: 8007203a Microsoft Exchange System Attendant  occurred.

A transient failure has occurred. The problem may resolve itself in a while. The service will retry in 56 seconds. Diagnostic information:

Cannot open mailbox /o=XXX/ou=Exchange Administrative Group (FYDIBOHF23SPDLT)/cn=Configuration/cn=Servers/cn=YYY/cn=Microsoft System Attendant.
Microsoft.Exchange.Data.Storage.ConnectionFailedTransientException: Cannot open mailbox /o=XXX/ou=Exchange Administrative Group

I checked allready DNS settings (but what to check here?).
I checked the service is running under the Local System Account
I checked the TCP/IP helper servie and am sure that File and Print services are enabled.

Any suggestions?

Event 1005 seems to be a general event code used to indicate that something the System Attendant needs is missing or corrupt. Exchange records a 1005 error in various conditions. See the links below.

Checked EventID, error 8007203a (The server is not operational.) isn't listed there.
Lovely. Is this server a Global Catalog also? If so the following fix from Microsoft may work:
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/940845
The server was no DC (or Global Catalog server).
I tried to uninstall Exchange server, but it hangs on the Mailbox Role.  Setup.com /M:Uninstall or even Setup.com /M:RecoverServer doesn't work anymore.
