Web Services in Flash CS3, ActionScript 3.0

I know how to connect to a webservice from an object in ActionScript 2.0, but how do you do this in ActionScript 3.0.  Where are the WebService classes found, connectors????

Why did they make this so different?  Why is there not any documentation on this?

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

some people have taken the time to write their own classes, and they're free to use.

Here Sander Wichers explains a way to borrow flex rpc classes. This may be the best solution cause you can rely on the proven flex framework for webservices. It s simple enough to do the first steps, and the you will not have trouble for subsequent projects.
