"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

The satellite footprint means is not physically possible to get the Star Sports signal in the UK so a streaming solution is the only way you are likely to be able to do this (unless eventually there is a contract to rebroadcast via Astra) http://www.satellites.co.uk/satellite/fringe-reception-general/52295-reception-india-q.html explains

TVU is a free tool to watch streaming video, it wont support the paid sites.
the costs to stream live sports is very expensive
http://in.rediff.com/money/2003/sep/03cas.htm
Because of this demand for more sports from overseas there is a few pay per view sports web sites  that will have an inbuilt viewer so you watch live sports from the web site direct after paying a small fee and even on your mobile phone.

stepladder12,

Assuming you have Windows, try Sopcast. It works on the same principle as TVUPlayer. I've seen Star Sports on it before.

Hope this helps!
