Multiple instances of PSEXEC

Hello, I use the PSEXEC Systinternals program to XCOPY files on a remote server over a VPN.

Some of the copies are failing and I was wondering if only one instance of the PSEXEC can run at once... i.e. if our automated system asks for more than one copy at once will the other ones fail?

I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

PSEXEC does have known issues running multiple instances against the same computer. It seems to be a problem with the diferent instances stealing each other's resources.

You may want to try running xcopy with

cmd.exe /c xcopy

so cmd will run xcopy and terminate under separate instances.
