Moving data from CRM 3.0 to CRM 4.0

I just need a jump start on this.
Im installing a new CRM 4.0 system on Server1.
I have the old CRM 3.0 data on Server2 in a different domain, but in the same network as Server1.
Can you list me the steps I need to do in order to move the data from CRM 3.0 to CRM 4.0?
Do I have to point to CRM 3.0 during installation or I have to do the move after CRM 4.0 was installed?
I am using the Trial version of CRM 4.0 since the commercial version is still in manufacturing.

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

It's resolved.

I needed to upgrade CRM 3.0 to 4.0 and then use the Deployment Manager to Import the organization.
