Get an error when I try to send a message to a distribution list

I'm using Microsoft Outlook 2003.  I have a very large distribution list which contains about 300 people.  I create a new e-mail and specify the distribution list in the To: field.  When I press Send, I get the following error: "An internal support function returned an error."  What's going on?

Although it's for Outlook 2000, see this article for possible resolution:

Hello purpledino7,

Are you using an Exchange?  See the solution posted in this other EE question

Hope this helps!

Thanks for the tip, but it looks like this is a known error when using Microsoft Exchange Server, and I'm not.  I send to a POP3 server, and sending to others on my list is no problem.

purpledino7, did you see the post that I posted?  You should look for duplicates in your DL and removed them.

I did see duplicates.  I went through with a fine-toothed comb and cleaned everything up.  I recreated the list, and everything worked fine.  Thanks for the advice.
