Window size pop-up menu in Dreamweaver greyed out

I'm trying to create a Website with Dresmweaver MX 2004. All the reference material I have for Dreamweaver says that I can set the window size with the pop-up menu in the bottom right-hand margin of the screen. However, I've never had the pop-up menu be anything but greyed out, requiring me to mess around with wrapping my content around, and constantly viewing it in my browser(s) to see where stuff is.
I can Edit the pop-up menu, but I can't choose any of the entries I've edited.
Help, please.

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

Hi franimaldoc,

If the document is docked to the other panels (maximized), then you can't resize the Design View.  Undock the document panel by clicking the Restore Down button and then you should be able to resize it from the status bar.

By golly, it'd be nice if they'd tell us simple stuff like that so we wouldn't have to bug you guys with it, now wouldn't it?
Thanks so much!!

It makes sense when you think about it.  If the page is docked, you would be resizing the entire DW window...

It didn't occur to me one could actually undock the page. I thought what I was looking at was the page. Live and learn, I do.
