cisco wireless LAN

I have a Cisco standalone Access point  and we are planning to cover all the building with wireless access point and we are going to use Wireless controller with LWAPP. Can I change the IOS of my standalone access point to LWAPP software then it can work with the controller?

Yes, depending on the version of AP. See here:
http://www.cisco.com/en/US/docs/wireless/controller/3.2/configuration/guide/c32lwap.html#wp1105203
Just click on the " Autonomous Access Points Converted to Lightweight Mode" link
