Anyone know a fix for a broken IE7?

System here has been cleaned of Viruses and spyware

However, IE7 still not work...Opera and Firefox work perfectly on it however.

When you open IE7 - u think its going to open the page but it just stops or you get a blank page.

When the same problem used to happen on IE6 - I just used to use the IEfix http://windowsxp.mvps.org/IEFIX.htm

fix utility which worked nearly everytime...but its not campatible with IE7

Anyone know a good fix that works?

It might be an add-on.  Try Internet Explorer No Add-ons in All Programs -> Accessories -> System Tools.  If that works, then go to the Tools menu -> Manage Add-ons and see if you can track down which one is causing the problem...
Did you try running sfc /scannow from an elevated command prompt?

Cick Start | Click All Programs | Click Accessories | Right-Click Command Prompt, and then Click Run as administrator. If you are prompted for an administrator password or for a confirmation, type the password, or click Allow.

jetsonx,

What security programs have you installed or are installed while you have cleaned it out?
Some of them have Home Page locks that do not always run or are visible or even warn you when you try to change them, Like Spysweeper has a home page shield, as does Spybot has a setting in it top lock home page, so do as war1 suggests to see if you can simply open a different page after getting that Done.

If you can get to a second page, not just the Home page, then we may be able to help pinpoint the problem.
jetsonx, any feedback?

The "Reset" button of IE7 worked great!

Thanks War1 and Mullinsbc.
