Firefox and session variables

OK...my problem is with Firefox 2.0.0.11.

I can't seem to send session variables to other pages. What I'm trying to do is essentially validate a session variable to display a page. If the session isn't set then the user is automatically re-directed to another page. In IE everything works fine, but Firefox always re-directs. This has been driving me nuts. I've been working on it all day. Any help would be awesome. Below is an example of how i'm trying to control the page i want to hide/show depending on whether or not the variable is set.

session_start();

if(($_SESSION['verified'])||($_COOKIE['pdc']==$c)){
PageCode();
}else{

header("location:http://www.mysite.com/newpage.php");
}
