Cisco 1840 reset to defaults or remove password

We have a router that has been replaced but the former IT person didn't leave the password for it.  We have tried everything and can not figure it out.  Since it is out of production we can deal with just setting it to defaults, but don't know how.  Any help would be appreciated.

You may have to use break key after powering on and the key may differ based on the terminal you use to connect to cisco router. So please refer the Key combinations carefully.
