Draft Printing in windows XP

I am using LX 300 Printer. I recently upgraded my PC from 98se to XP SP2. I am using crystal reports 4.6 for custom report development.
I want to set the page of size 10x6 inch and i want to print my report in Draft 10 cpi or Draft 12 cpi.

How can it be done ?

Please verify the "version" of Crystal Reports that you are using........

Thanks

CR4.6 is the version that comes with VB6.

You should be able to set the options in the Crystal designer.

For page size does that include the margins?

Does the printer have that as a paper size?  If not you may have to use a custom paper size.
Another option would be to use the standard paper size and increase the right and botom margins to reduce the effective size to 10 x 6.

The draft 10 or 12 CPI is controlled by the font you choose.  What font is the draft  mode for the printer.  Font size 12 is 10cpi and font size 10 is 12cpi

In windows xp, the paper size we get and fonts which we available for that printer depends upon that printer itself.
For example, if you choose LX300 printer, you get only few default paper sizes. If you choose LX 300+ you get varity of pages to set plus, you can set your own custom size from Printers and Faxes -> Server Settings.
But if you set LX 300+ Drivers for LX 300 Printer then it doesnot works.

So the moral of the story is I want a method which if possible give me to set the 10x6 inch custom page and Draft 10 or Draft 12 or Draft 5 or Draft 17 cpi font to LX 300 Printer.

I think, I cleared my query.
Crystal can only use the page sizes available through the printer driver.

but in 98 irrespective of printer I can set the draft font for my text in crystal report and the report printing was fine.
the problem arised when i upgraded to xp
is there any solution because in xp i noticed that for some printers custom page size is available in printers paper size and in some printers it is not. E.g In LX300 custom printer size is not available. But in LX300+ you can set  the custom paper size in printer->server properties and the custom size is available in page settings.
is there any method to set 10x6 page and draft 10 cpi font in crystal reports to LX300 Printer ?

Not through Crystal.

You could set you margins for letter paper to
Right (2.5 inches larger than you normally use)
Bottom (1 inch larger than normal)

That will in effect change the paper size.

mlmcc
in this case if I use 10 x 12 paper then it is ok. Paper comes to tear point.
But if i use 10 x 6 paper then paper ejects with second copy blank. and then it comes to tear point.
which is not expected.

Crystal adds a form feed for new page.  The printer will still eject what it knows to be the full page.

What are you trying to do?

mlmcc
My report is of size 10 x 6 size. After printing is finished, I want the paper should be ejected and it should be available to me for tear off.
When i print second report, it should go to start of page (where i teared last report page ) and print the report from start on 10 x 6 size and again it should come to tear off point after completing the printing.

I should be able to set the font size to draft 12 cpi or draft 10 cpi so that my report material will print faster.

All this i was doing in 98SE and by only upgrading to XP the sizes and fonts got disturbed.
