How to clean print head on a Canon S630 "waste tank full"

My Canon S630 has an error code that I believe is 'waste tank full".  It blinks 7 orange and 1 green.  I found some information on how to reset the counter, but it doesn't seem to work.  I can remove the head, clean the contacts and reset it to print a page or two but then the error reoccurs.

Can someone verify the process to reset the counter and also how exactly do I clean or empty this reservoir?

Were you using this to reset the error message?

The printer does not monitor the tank/pads but keeps note of the number of pages printed and estimates when it should tell you the waste tank needs attention.  If the reset options in the link don't work you may need a software resetter.
yeah, I personally have taken apart printers that had that feature to alert you when the tank is full, but never seen any type of sensor, you could perhaps try taking apart the printer to clean the pads in the tank..
I used water to clean them for mine, (note: i never got the error that forced me to clean it)
don't twist the pads or your could rip them, (i did that when cleaning my canons)
just soak them in a bucket of water and like press them to get the water out and repeat until they are almost white, at least do it until they are grey.

also did you try looking on canon's site for any help?

I get that the error is triggered by a counter.  The info from fixyourownprinter is what I had found and tried but it doesn't work.  The S630 wasn't specifically mentioned so I'm not sure if maybe there is slightly different sequence.  I'm not sure what a software resetter is but I'll search the Canon site.
There is a generic S series reset on that page
