The W2k Resource Kit wasn't free; check here, for example:

ded9,
you're on *very* thin ice here.
As I said: the W2k Resource Kit was *not* free; it was (and still is) licensed software, and recommending downloading it from P2P is a clear violation of the membership agreement you accepted when you created your account.

P: Membership Agreement > Section 3: Guidelines for Use
http://www.experts-exchange.com/help.jsp#hi27
"3.4 (K):
Hacks, cracks, unlicensed copies, and artificial keys infringe on intellectual property rights. You may not like the fact that companies charge for software, but trying to get past their copyright protection is both illegal and a violation of this clause."

The help is very clear on that topic, too:

The NT4 ResKit wasn't free, the W2k ResKit wasn't free; only the W2k3 ResKit was free, but without some of the tools that were in the W2k ResKit.
How do you come up with "always"?

Please read the article you linked again; quote from there:
"Note: Microsoft only lets you download a subset of the original Resource Kit Tools. [...]
Note: Please note that these are NOT the entire Reskit tools set. The Reskit has a greater number of tools and documentation, and it is one of the most valuable resources for system administrators. [...]"

Where exactly did I say that *Emule* was illegal software?
You recommended downloading *unlicensed* *software* from P2P, no matter the tool.
Check the links I posted above, it doesn't get any clearer than this.

What about using DiskProbe, that should allow you to set the disk signatures manually, and unlike dumpcfg, it IS available for free.

Hi,

i completely agree with the mod but before any question is posted if you guys think its not legal delete it.

Why are you guys giving a thumbs up for such questions. As soon as you see it delete this question.
Why are the other guys participating not sending a request to the mods to delete the question.

Any answers for that?

One more thing whats with the comment thing in the profile. I have two comments from the same guys who is going to clean that stuff.

Waiting for your answer.

Also delete this post as fast as possible if its not legal
