I AM GETTING THE ERROR "Received notify: INVALID_ID_INFO" FROM ASA WHEN I TRY TO SETUP SITE-SITE VPN BETWEEN ASA 5500 AND SONICWWALL 2040

Verify setting for Authentication and Encryption Algorithms i.e  MD5 and others. also check the  pre-shared key.

Was browsing on Some site which had posted the same error most of them solved by changing the Setting on Cisco Side as below:

"isakmp identity automatic" from
"isakmp identity address" in the global settings.

Some had problems which the Standard OS (some versions)  on sonic-wall side which does not support the same, need to go for PIX / ASA or Sonicwall's Enhanced OS.

As per Cisco Docs Tunnel can be established between ASA and Sonicwall's OS  Standard 2.2.0.1 link is as below :
