My server cant see client machines

Hi,

I have just installed Microsoft Windows server updates services 3.0.  I have followed all the steps in the help guide to configure client machines to register with the server, however the client machine still does not appear in the drop down menu under 'computers'.

The server is SBS 03 and the client machine is running XP pro

Any ideas?

Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

Wait till the Client restarts ... Is your DNS setup right ... if yes ... they will come to the server.

are the xp ps firewall on?
if so pick a pc and turn it off. Check the server again.
if that worked just open a hole in the pcs firewalls.
