Double entries in user's NK2 file

I have a user with Outlook 2003 connecting to an Exchange 2007 Server. If they delete all entries for a particular user from their address list and pull from the GAL, they have one address that pops-up when they send the next mail to them. However, if they reply to an email from that user, it adds another address to their file and they are show 2 entries for the same user.

Both entires are type "EX". One will be formatted as:
/o=messaging/ou=Administrative Group/cn=Recipients/cn="user alias".

The other will look like:
/o="Exchange organization name"/ou=Exchange Administrative Group (FYDIBOHF23SPDLT)/cn=Recipients/cn="user alias".

The second entry is the one created after the reply.

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

Are you asking how to delete the (first) existing entry?

When composing, and the nickname cache appears, use the arrow keys tohighlight the bad entry and hit the delete key.

No, the user can delete the cached entries fine. They are okay the first time they pull and address from the GAL but, if they are sent something from someone already in their cache and they reply it adds another entry in the cache. I have attached an example of what one of the users cache looks like.

Apparently, if you delete all of the EX entries using a tool like Owtlook, the problem goes away.
