Missing STD11.MSI

A client of mine recently cannot access her Excel files.  When she trys to open any Excel document MSOffice 2003 tries to reistall itself but errors out because it cannot locate the file STD11.MSI.  I am not able to locate this file on her system.  She can still access MS Word docs and Outlook works fine also.  Does office need to be reinstalled?  Any help is appreciated.

STD11.msi is the Office 2003 Standard installation file - it should be on the installation disk. If she inserts the disk when the install routine starts again, Office should be able to find it. If not, she will have to browse to it.

Thanks.  Why would it come up missing after all this time?

It's sometimes triggered by updates/patches, or use of a feature that has been set to install on first use.
