Domain wide Desktop Background setting

Regarding a 2003 environment.  

Besides using the Active Desktop GPO setting, is there another way to force XP clients to a permanent desktop setting.  a good script maybe....

you can also set a script to run it every hour or so. Belive me, people will not change wallpaper after a few days.

it is also very usefull to provide support, as you can choose info to display on the users background.

yes, you can set a script to run it. for instance a startup script that will set the backgroung image and the text you want.
It is very configurable.

if you set it as a startup script yes. It will reset the background on every startup. people will change it twice and never more.

It might chnage it on startup but many of our users do not logoff.....so there is nothing to prevent thme from loading their own wallpaper....

Unfortunately or maybe forunately you do not know our users......I need a fixed wallpaper...is Active desktop the only way???
