How to solve "Error Message : There is an error in XML document (146, 7144)" when a web service method is called?

Hi Experts,
In my Visual Studio 2003 ASP.NET app, when I try to call a web service method, I get this error:
Error Message : There is an error in XML document (146, 7144).

I get this error in my local machine and production server with same parameters.

However when I try to execute the web service (with the same parameters as above) using 'Web Service Studio' tool, I get the intended data (XML)

Could anyone please let me know what I am not doing correctly?

If I'm not clear, please let me know.

Many thanks in advance.
