I need to install the .Net Framework on a server, but I cannot use the C: drive. Can I install the .Net Framwork on the D: drive. Are there any disadvantages?

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

The .Net Framework must be installed to the same drive as your Windows folder.  So it's technically possible to install to D:, but only if windows is installed there as well.  Iin other words: probably not.
