"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

You can use 'bytea' data type to store your images. Alternatively, you could store the link to the image on the filesystem and use that rather than storing the actual image in the database. There are pro and cons of each (performance, transaction ability, security, etc.).

If you do a quick Google search, you can find quite a few articles describing the pros and cons, as well as the procedure of loading/retreiving images from PostgreSQL database.
