OST File error in Outlook

We have a problem with a user's outlook, when he wants to accept meeting requests he receives an error stating that there is errors in his ost file. We have run scan pst but this does not solve the problem. The ost file is rather small and only 300 mb. Some of his emails also can not open. We are using Office 2003 Professional.  Any Ideas to resolve this problem?

with outlook closed, delete the OST file. when the user re-opens outlook it will rebuild the OST without data loss.

Sounds like the OST file is corrupted. You may try to export all his/her stuff (emails/appointments/contacts etc) to a pst and remove Outlook profile completely. Reconfigure Outlook for him/her and import the file back.

ok, i have deleted the ost file and it is busy rebuilding, lets see what happens
