Do you have your configuration on debug and not on release ?

Right click on your project-file: properties
On the tab "configuration properties", the combobox above should have debug

Yes, you'll have to start from your project, otherwise you can't debug it !

can I change my web site to project or is their anyway to do debug in the website?

DhaestCommented:
If you open your project, then you can run the website locally and debug it.

Or do you mean: I deployed the website and there is an error on the live-environment (and not locally), and I want to debug that ... (probably not possible to do that)

Actually what happen is that I have created a new web site in my visual studio 2005 by going in to the File menu and clicking on the new website option after I have created some pages I am getting errors in on of the page and I like to debug it locally, like i like to put the break point in one place and then press f5 and then debug the code line by line

I hope its helps
