this question may sound irrelevant - but the reason for this question is I beleive that the people here are "engineer " minded
and can help with this. I want to be able to construct a bridge(just a toy). THe raw materails given to me are newspaper and
tape. And this brigde should be strong enough to hold half gallon of water and there should be some room underneath, meaning I should be able to slide a water bottle
underneath. ANy tips for me???

hahahahhahh I had to do that on my retreat with my fellow peers.

We rolled each newspaper tightly so it looks like an empty paper towel holder. then we taped a whole bunch of them.

that would be the base.

we then made a big one Arched just enough so that the bottle can slide under.

----when u say base , would that be -
1. high 9 inches above table level?
2. or would it be vertical or horizontal - when you tape it?

we then made a big one Arched just enough so that the bottle can slide under.

---so the base would be 9 inches above the table and then the center of the arch would touch the base and then 2 ends of the arch would touch the table???
Is this right. if no , please correct me or maybe  can u please draw something real simple on paint and then attach it. Nothing very professional drwaing - just to visualise how it looks...

. high 9 inches above table level?  Basically thats the base that would sit on top of the arch. so it looks like a Bridge
