Vaio Laptop Makes loud noise Mic/Speaker conflict issue

Hello.
I have a Sony Vaio SZ series laptop that's about 6 month old, and all of a sudden it started to make LOUD WHINING NOISE (Type of noise that you hear when you bring microphone very close to speaker - loud high pitch noise).
I can't find any info about that problem online. The only solution that i could find is disabling built-in Microphone. Any ideas?
Thank You
-Serge

That would be feedback. There should be a setting in the soundcard audio that refers to monitoring. This should be disabled or unchecked as it allows the speakers to output whatever the microphone picks up.
Or you can mute the microphone from the speaker icon in the taskbar.

Hmmm. Thanks.
I'll try looking for it. If anyone could provide more info on where i should look for that setting, i'd appreciate it.
