My windows smart phone seems to be unable to access imap4 email from my exchange server?

I have a SBS Server. And I also connect to my companies exchange server with my phone using activesync. On my phone it appear that I can only sync with one exchange account which is fine. I have set my SBS server to enable IMAP4 email. I have configured this on an outlook client and confirmed that it does work. Any Ideas.

Thank you for the feedback. I have the exchange push working with activesync on one of my servers. What need to do to get my phone to also use POP3 or IMAP also so that I am able to get emails from another one of my servers on a different domain. I believe that everything is set correctly as I am able to connect to my other server with an Outlook client. When I try to connect with my mobile device it won't sync up.
On windows mobile 6, go into messaging and select add new email account (think that is the word) then you should be able to enter all the additional information and initiate a connection.

If that has already been one is there a specific error mesage that is being reported?

This is actually mobile 5. I have created the account and when I press send and received it will either do nothing or will give a message stating that it cannot download the message either because of a connection problem or server problem. I have triple checked everything and the connection settings on both ends are 100% correct. Is it maybe the case that this phone just won't hook up to the service.
I am not familiar with mobile 5 but the principals remain the same, on the server are there any event logs which would give us a clue as to why it isn't working.  Is there a specific error code mobile 5 is reporting?

Should have asked this earlier, but are the ports on the firewall open?  port 143 by default for IMAP on exchange.

Take a look at the follwoing link which may help configuring the device:

http://www.msexchange.org/tutorials/Connecting_POP_And_IMAP_Clients_To_MS_Exchange_Server.html
The ports on the server are open and it connects directly to the internet, there is no other router or firewall. The mobile device give the error: Messages cannot be downloaded to your mobile device. Make sure you email account settings are correct. Then, try to download messages again.
