Hi There

I have a Terminal server and need to remove the shutdown button from the start menu for the remote users only. I need the shutdown option to be available for Administrators.

Any help will be greatly appreciated.

I have looked at the policy but can not find where to remove the shutdown button

This article may be of some help?

It's a tad long winded so you may have to scan through and just find the area you want...

Using Group Policies you can remove the Shutdown button...

Click Start -> Select Run -> Type GPEDIT.MSC

This opens up the local Group Policy Editor.  Navigate to the User Configuration -> Administrative Templates -> Expand the Start Menu and Taskbars and select to Remove and Prevent Access to the Shutdown Command. Enable this option and it solves the problem ;-)
