why would colors print differently than what is displayed on the picture?

Im trying to print out a picture of the celtics,  and the green is printing blue and the basketball is red,  I reset the printer to factory defaults,  checked the ink levels, and am not sure what else to do,  im printing from windows image viewer.  do you think i should just uninstall the printer and reinstall it?

Before you try uninstalling the printer, download and install IrfanView (www.irfanview.com).  Open the picture in IrfanView and print from there.

If it's still having issues, then uninstall the printer.  This link gives good instructions on cleaning out all printer drivers:
http://members.shaw.ca/bsanders/CleanPrinterDrivers.htm
Then download and install CCleaner (www.ccleaner.com).  Run its cleanup function and registry cleaner.
Reboot.
Download the latest drivers from HP for your printer, and install using those drivers.

If you are still having problems, try a different set of drivers (pcl5 perhaps), or the universal print drivers from this link:
