Can Sybase Server 11 or 12 make a web service call from a stored procedure.

I have a system that interfaces well to Sybase.  But this system needs to query a WEB service.   I heard somewhere that Sybase can make a web service call in a stored procedure and return all or part the the web service call output.

I am a expert in Web Services but not so much with Sybase Server.  So please if you know the answer lets go with layman terms.  ;o)

Thanks!

I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

Web Services features were introduced in the ASE 12.5.1 release, they aren't available in earlier releases.
