BAckup Exec Backup-to-disk settings with disk and tape in one device pool

I have a instance of Backup Exec 11d running in which I'm trying to configure one backup to use a device pool of a NAS share and a Tape drive to run one backup job per night for 5 days a week.

My goal is to have 5 backup to disk files on the NAS and then one backup per tape each night.

What I'm getting is 81 backup to disk files per night and only a successful tape eject command.

The backup is successful but only to the disk shaare and no data is being saved to the tapes.
It also seems that backup exec has stopped picking up new tapes when we insert them.

What am I doing wrong? and what information can I provide that could help you help me?

It seems like the backup is Overwriting its own backup files as you do not have any Overwrite Protection

TO start with make the following changes

TOOLS>OPTIONS>MEDIA MANAGEMENT :ensure its set on PARTIAL

Change the properties of the MEDIA SET "DAILY BACKUP" to have at least 1 day of Overwrite Protection and 0 hours of Append

Change the properties of  the backup to disk folder
Maximum number of backup sets per backup to disk file to 50

run the backups and update

As for the tape issue there can be many reasons
likely issues with configuration of jobs
