Reports and a count if function

I have a microsoft access report where  I want it to count a specific field.  The only thing is the field contains text from A thru G and I need to count how many A's, B's, C's, etc and give me a total on each letter what is the easiest way to do this

Create a text box for each letter you want then use:

=Sum(iif(FieldName = "A", 1,0))
=Sum(iif(FieldName = "B", 1,0))
=Sum(iif(FieldName = "C", 1,0))
...
as the controlsouce of the textboxes.

IT WORKS GOOD BUT HOW CAN I COUNT IF THERE IS NOTHING IN A FIELD
