Unable to setup outlook profile

When we try to setup new profiles for outlook as people move from desk to desk/office to office we are getting this error even for domain admins:

Outlook could not logon. Check to make sure you are connected to the network and are using the proper server and mailbox name.  (this happens when we click check name)

I am able to ping the exchange server and have it resolve without issue.  We recently upgraded to exchange 2007 from exchange 2000.  The 2000 server is still online, and hasn't been uninstalled as of yet.   Most clients are outlook 2003.

Actually, I just resolved the problem.  In looking at the Exchange 2007 server I found that the system attendant service was stopped.  When I restarted it, we didn't have the problem anymore.

What the Heck. I restarted the Microsoft System Attendant Service and was Back in Business!

Thanks,
