displaying data in combo box

I have a list box and a combo box referencing the same field to be displayed (the users want both option to locate a record). In my list box items are displayed as soon as  the form open. In my combo box when the form opens no data is displayethe samed until after I click on the control. I would like to show data in my combo box when the form opens like it does in a list box

I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

If the value in the Control Source of the combo box matches any of the values in its Row Source, Bound Column, then the value should appear when the form opens.

These two statments are mutually exclusive.

Unless you mean you want the combo box records viewable when the form opens, which would be in VBA code..
