Cannot install printer on XP Pro machine. &nbsp;Get errors such as required section not found in INF; cannot create a file when that file already exists; Windows scrubber has encountered a problem. &nbsp;Also deleted an installed Samsung ML-1740 and now cannot reinstall - same kind of errors. &nbsp;I completely uninstalled and deleted all printer driver and other related software. &nbsp;Stopped and restarted the print spooler. &nbsp;Still no go.

Cannot install printer on XP Pro machine.  Get errors such as required section not found in INF; cannot create a file when that file already exists; Windows scrubber has encountered a problem.  Also deleted an installed Samsung ML-1740 and now cannot reinstall - same kind of errors.  I completely uninstalled and deleted all printer driver and other related software.  Stopped and restarted the print spooler.  Still no go.

Cannot install the local printer

A printer is a peripheral which makes a persistent human readable representation of graphics or text on paper or similar physical media. Traditional printers are being used more for special purposes, like printing photographs or artwork, and are no longer a must-have peripheral; 3D printing has become an area of intense interest, allowing the creation of physical objects. An image scanner is a device that optically scans images, printed text, handwriting, or an object, and converts it to a digital image. Hand-held scanners, where the device is moved by hand, have evolved from text scanning "wands" to 3D scanners used for industrial design, reverse engineering, test and measurement, orthotics, gaming and other applications.

Microsoft Windows XP is the sixth release of the NT series of operating systems, and was the first to be marketed in a variety of editions: XP Home and XP Professional, designed for business and power users. The advanced features in XP Professional are generally disabled in Home Edition, but are there and can be activated. There were two 64-bit editions, an embedded edition and a tablet edition.
