What are the steps for disaster recovery in distributed computing?

Hello Everyone,

What steps should I take to ensure data security and disaster recovery in a distributed computing network..? (As opposed to "non" distributed computing networks)

Any advice, feedback or help would be appreciated.

Thanks,

Scott

I wear a lot of hats...

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

i have done a master degree research before on disaster recovery. it was for non-distributed systems. i.e. important machines (servers)

the key word was (backup plan) that includes vital data and system imgaes , ..etc

for the distributed system you have to come out with the same thing. taking in mind localized effective backup plan.

any more info about the case study or the project you are handling would be helpful to come out with specific solution
