Exchange virtual instances fail, forgetting tcp port

This has happened several times in the past where the SSL port number assigned to the exchange virtual server in IIS is forgotten, noticed when the resource is failed in the cluster and will not come online until the port is added back to it manually.

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

it says to set the settings through ESM rather than through IIS. If you set them in IIS Administrator instead of ESM, they will be OVERWRITTEN by the DS2MB metabase replication process (ie, you'll lose your SSL settings each time you reboot or failover!).
