Cisco VPN client on Vista Home Premium - Stuck at "securing communications channel"

I'm currently running vista home premium and cisco vpn client version When i enter username and password it gets stuck at "securing communications channel". If i end task and relaunch the app it connects. However after connecting i may or may not be able to access network resources.

If i repeat the process of ending the task and restarting then eventually it will conect and work properly.

I don't thin the HOME edition f either XP or vista is capable of correctly running a VPN, let alone a Cisco VPN client.  The networking, at least on XP was deliberately crippled by M$ to limit HOME's networking features.  It is probably much the same on Vista home.  with MS, home means HOME -- that is where you are limited to.
I am having the same issue with my VPN client how did you solve the issue of it getting stuck at Securing Communication Channel
Check your router config and make sure the anything that is VPN pass through is enabled.
