Cisco VPN client on Vista Home Premium - Stuck at "securing communications channel"

I'm currently running vista home premium and cisco vpn client version 5.0.02.0090. When i enter username and password it gets stuck at "securing communications channel". If i end task and relaunch the app it connects. However after connecting i may or may not be able to access network resources.

If i repeat the process of ending the task and restarting then eventually it will conect and work properly.

I don't thin the HOME edition f either XP or vista is capable of correctly running a VPN, let alone a Cisco VPN client.  The networking, at least on XP was deliberately crippled by M$ to limit HOME's networking features.  It is probably much the same on Vista home.  with MS, home means HOME -- that is where you are limited to.
