linux waite long time when boot

When i boot my redhat it wait long time for receive ip form dhcp server how can i skip this process

Can You tell us what linux distribution You have?
The first post refers to debian-like, the second to redhat like config.

Depends if You just want to set static IP, or You have two eth's and dhcp is configured on the unused one, etc.
The question states that they're running redhat... so I'd assume they're running redhat :-P.

My guess would be that either they're booting w/o a network (on the road) or they're using wireless.
