USB HUB Notification

Hi Folks,
I have a very annoying problem with my usb hub. I have a Dell Inspiron 5100 Laptop, XP operating system and do automatic updates, and use a Belkin USB hub attached to it. During the day, it will pop-up an "autoplay" message and a a window asking me what I would like to do - and naturally I select "No Action" (there is not a checkbox to check to designate my option as the deafult"). This happens on and off all day! Needless to say, it is soooo annoying.
I will be in the middle of something and it pop-up!
How can I turn this type of notification off and so I can stop pulling my hair out?
thank you so much.

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

Is this a USB portable drive/pen drive?
If it is a drive, you can right click the drive in My Computer
Click Properties
Click on the Autoplay tab
And tell it not to prompt you any more, or set it to always take 'No Action'
