Looking for a good web host that allows for admin access to server

Hi,

I do not really know all of what is out there, but I know there are a lot of choices. I have only used a shared host with GoDaddy and my new site I need a bit more. I'd like to be able to install applicstions such as SubVersion and basically have full admin access to the server with RDP abilities.

Looking for any advice/opinions on what providers to look into.

Thank you!

Thanks for the info, looking into those now.

Hoping to hear from someone that has hands on experience with a company that could give some feedback.

As stated, I want a dedicated server (doesn't matter if it's virtual) that will give me admin/rdp access. Looking for good/fast customer support. Looking for a host that will let me start out small and add as we go (bandwidth, disk space, etc.).

Thanks

Actually, the more ideal route would be to find something cheap to start with (shared is fine) that gives us the ability to have an application installed (really just looking to have subversion installed). It would be nice if it was a host that gives an easy migration plan onto a dedicated when we're ready. I know GoDaddy is a good choice for this, but they don't allow for custom installs on a shared.

Thanks again
You won't find a host that will allow or do this in shared environment (aka standard hosting)

I just stumbled across this ... http://www.svnrepository.com/

Would that be a good path? Set up a shared web host with GoDaddy or someone, and then use the above site to host our SVN?
that should meet your needs, I'd look into them a bit further though
