Login Prompted when attaching file in OWA from Safari

I am running a fully updated Exchange 2003 server and OWA prompts for a password when attaching a file when connecting from Safari on a Mac.  If using IE, it works just fine.  I have reset the Virtual Directories as described in: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/883380/en-us.  I receive a "Timer_ConnectionIdle" error in the IIS log files on the server when trying to attach the file.  We have not noticed any other issues.  Outlook (setup as rpc/http), Entourage, Windows Mobile Active Sync and OWA from IE are all working without any noticable issues.

It works fine in Firefox, but still prompts for password when clicking the attach button using Safari 3.0.

I wonder if the cookie settings are the problem in Safari? You might try playing with them. If it were me, I would suggest the users switch to Firefox. I have always found Safari a bit buggy.
