use an ocx component in visual basic 2005 compatible only in visual basic 6

Hello Experts,
I have to use an ocx component in a visual studio 2005 project, but this ocx component is compatible only in visual basic 6.
Have you some suggestions?

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

Do you own the code of the ocx ?
If not, the only suggestion I have if to write a new COM in C++ with VS2005 that will aggregate the old one. Then you will have to expose the interfaces of the old component to your VB.Net app through the new COM.

what makes this OCX only compatible to VB6? normally when you add a reference to a COM component, a set of interops are created for you to be able to use it from .Net.
